We collect personal information to provide our products and services, including the distribution of products, the delivery of parcels, and the facilitation of delivery bookings (“Services”).

Sensitive information includes details about an individual:

• health, genetic or biometric data

We generally do not collect sensitive information. If we do, it will only be with your consent and only for the purpose for which it was provided.

• senders and recipients of parcels or products we deliver

• provide delivery information

• interact with our website or customer service teams

From third-party clients:

Many deliveries are performed on behalf of third-party clients (“our clients”). These clients provide us with:

• names

• delivery addresses

• contact information

• instructions regarding delivery of their products

Because of the nature of our Services, it is often impractical to collect this information

directly from you. If you no longer wish to receive deliveries from DAI Post, you should contact the relevant client or sender directly. If you are unsure who that is, please contact us and we will assist.

5. Why we collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information

We collect, hold, use and disclose personal information when reasonably necessary to:

• provide our Services

• arrange and complete delivery or distribution tasks

• manage relationships with clients, customers, employees and suppliers

• maintain internal business records

• comply with Australian laws and regulatory obligations

• improve our operations and customer experience

These are considered the Main Purposes. We may also use your information for Secondary Purposes where reasonably expected, such as:

• service improvements

• customer support

• direct marketing communications

• business analytics

Some third-party providers are located outside Australia. Your personal information may be disclosed - strictly for business-related functions - to entities located in:

We maintain effective control over your information, ensuring overseas parties are subject to strong privacy safeguards and restricted access. In some cases, disclosure may be required by local laws in the destination country of your parcel. By providing your personal information, you consent to overseas disclosures as outlined above, where required or permitted by law.

8. Remaining anonymous or using a pseudonym

Where lawful and practical, you may choose to remain anonymous or use a pseudonym. However, due to the nature of delivery services, we cannot provide many of our Services without accurate identifying information.

9. How we protect your personal information

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information, which is stored securely in:

• DAI Post’s internal systems

• third-party cloud or platform providers

Access is restricted to authorised personnel through secure login systems and technical access controls. We regularly update our security measures to protect against misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Clients have access only to the data they provided.

10. Unsolicited personal information

If we receive personal information that we did not request and could not lawfully have collected intentionally, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

11. Accessing and correcting your personal information

We take reasonable steps to ensure the information we hold is accurate, complete and up to date. If you believe your information is incorrect or outdated, you may:

• request updates through our client (if they provided your data)

Access may be refused in circumstances permitted by the Privacy Act (e.g., safety risks, unreasonable impact on others, anticipated legal proceedings). If access or correction is refused, we will explain why and outline available complaint options. Where we have shared incorrect information with another organisation, you may request that we notify them of corrections. Reasonable costs may apply for access requests, but correction requests are generally free.
